Well, maybe I'm over exaggerating a little bit. The nice camera work takes what could be mediocre shots and turns them into pieces of art. While this film is slow and a little bit boring, it does add a tiny tiny dash of science fiction into the mix, which will keep your interest from time to time.The cinematography also helps this film a lot. A successful example of this is Cool Runnings. As mentioned earlier, this film is based on true events, but it is OK to twist and turn the story a bit to make it funny and entertaining. This is what will probably disappoint people the most. While not as entertaining and comical like other films based off of actual events, this film is still an inspiring movie.The story moves along really really slowly. They manage only to get a flight into London, and thus have to make their way from London to Berlin. Along for the ride is Scott's best friend, the girl crazy Cooper Harris. Thinking that Mieke is actually who he was meant to be with, Scott, impulsively for a change, decides to go to Berlin to be with her. By this time, Mieke has blocked his messages. However, Scott learns shorty thereafter that Mike is actually a beautiful girl named Mieke. After Mike makes advances to Scott now that he and Fiona are not seeing each other, Scott abruptly sends Mike a message saying he never wants to hear from him again. Scott and Mike seem to have a special connection. Among the people he turns to in his hour of despair is his German pen pal, Mike. He is unceremoniously dumped by his whorish girlfriend Fiona on graduation day. Ohio high school student Scott Thomas is a good student and nice guy - albeit a little predictable - who is about to graduate and go into pre-med.

This one is worth 10 stars,for what it shows us about ourselves. Very few movies actually leave you with something to consider about how we run our lives in the way this one does and if you are willing to be open to these lessons,then you will get far more than the price of admission.

That is what this Movie is showing us and in my view the human race would be far better if all did this work. The greatest warrior of all is one who has resolved the battle within oneself. If anyone has ever read 'The Art Of War' by Sun Tzu then you know what the Peaceful Warrior concept is all about. Of course letting go of what we call mind would be even better. I saw this movie then re-read the book and while I would recommend the book over the Movie,if you go into the theater with a mind willing to see something new about yourself,as opposed to being a critic,then it is possible to come away with a new prospective about your place in this world. Its what Socrates calls being asleep while walking around living our lives and missing the fullness of life which surrounds us completely.

That is what this movie is all about,breaking free from all the misconceptions we have and living in the moment,a moment that is rich with all the things we think are missing and in actuality are present in every heartbeat,so close and in our face that most of us miss it. I read the book back in the mid '80s and at that time there was much I did not understand fully,I may have thought I did however as the last 20 years have bloomed in my life I know that my views were clouded by what I thought I knew rather than the experiences and revelations which come to a life consciously lived.
